Chinese Community Joins Local Occupy Wall Street Protests and Declares: “We Are the 99%!”
On Wednesday, October 11th, members of the Chinese community in San Francisco will be joining the nationwide movement to Occupy Wall Street, and declaring that they too are the 99% who are suffering in America. The Chinese Progressive Association is proud to stand with the Occupy Wall Street, Occupy Together, and other efforts across the country. Already, in recent weeks, the Chinese community has joined protests in New York and Boston. The movement has grown larger and larger, and immigrant communities are joining these actions because they have seen firsthand the growing inequality in America.
Interviews in Chinese and English will be available.
